Ladies Night - May 24

Our next ladies night event will take place on Sunday evening, May 24, 5:30-8:30pm – boarding at Statter Harbor in Auke Bay. It has been suggested that we go as a group on this whale watching tour. Food & beverages will be served. Several have already expressed an interest in going and a couple have already purchased their tickets! If you’re interested in going, please purchase your ticket soon at Hearthside Books, for some of these tours do sell out. Once you’ve picked up your ticket, please let me know so that we will know how many will be coming. So far we have four definites and three strong possibilities!

The cost is $50.00 per person. If you want to go and the cost would prevent you from going, please email me back or call me at 957-0630 asap & let me know.

Proceeds will benefit the ministry of Community Christian Counseling Center here in Juneau. Let me hear from you!!

Outdoor Safety Expo for the whole family!

You do not want to miss the Southeast Outdoor Safety Expo at Centennial Hall on May 23.

The Rotary Club of Juneau is sponsoring this free public service event. The event is targeted to making YOU safer when you enjoy our great outdoors. There will a variety of activities for all ages. Activities include more than 40 booths of information and multiple presentations on hiking, boating and other outdoor activities. There will be everything from helicopters (Coast Guard and Army Air Guard) to a climbing wall (Juneau Mountain Rescue) to an air gun range (4-H) to a bike rodeo (State of AK).

When was the last time you saw two large helicopters land in a parking lot? Check them out! They land at 11:00 am on the 23rd.

Again this will be held on May 23 at Centennial Hall. Doors opening at 10:00 am and it is free!

Hope to see you and your family there!

Friday Fun Night- Get the Word out!

Good afternoon,

I hope you’re having a wonderful day—living the extraordinary!

I just wanted to remind you again to give out those tickets for Friday night. It’s going to be a great, fun time of free food, games, prizes, and a movie (Bedtime Stories, which if you haven’t seen is pretty funny). This is another opportunity to show our neighbors, friends, co-workers, or whoever you invite that God loves them and we as a church care for our community.

Think about it for a minute, then call, email, or visit some people who would be interested in coming. If you need more tickets, let me know and we’ll get them to you or you can pick them up. Also remember that they don’t need to get in, but the number on their ticket will be used for door prizes and is also a great way of reminding them of the specifics.

I’m going to bring some doughnuts or muffins to work (food always brings people out of the woodwork), then I’m going to make a little sign with the tickets sitting there for anyone who wants to take them. You could try something like that if you like!

The point is just to get them out there. We have an opportunity to show love and have some fun doing it. Soon you’ll be getting another email so you’ll know what’s needed and how you can help with this.

Thank you for being such a wonderful church family and thank you for praying for the event so that families are touched. Let me know if you have any questions or comments at all.

Multiplied blessings,

Jason (Jason@breakthroughalaska.com -321-5646)
