Good morning on this glorious Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day!! Please take note of the following Breakthrough updates:

• Tonight - 11/25 - Youth Group meeting at the church at 6:30pm. Parents please contact Jesse or Bethany if your teen will not be in attendance. No other small groups will meet the remainder of this week.
• Baby News!! - Jon & Jessica would like to share with the Breakthrough family that they are "with child" & the blessed delivery date is on or around May 24, 2010. Jayme and Justin are very excited about having a new little brother or sister. Jessica requests your prayers for her and the little new life as they go through these next months. We speak God's awesome touch to Jon, Jess, Jayme, Justin and the newest little Geary. Congratulations to you Jon & Jessica from the Breakthrough family!
• Susan will be Christmas decorating at the church on Saturday, Nov 28. Please contact her at 463-5531 for more details and if you can help.
• Church Christmas Dinner - Sunday evening Dec 13 - 5pm -7pm at the church. The sign-up poster is posted at the church.

Breakthrough Church Christmas Dinner Party

It's time to plan our Christmas dinner party. We have many ideas for you to help make this a wonderful celebration for all of our families.

A Breakthrough Church family dinner party is planned for Sunday evening, December 13 from 5:00-7:00pm at the church. We are also hoping someone in your family will want to sing a song, do a short skit, give a testimony or tell us some jokes. Along with this entertainment, we are also hoping some of you could set up a few tables with games that anyone could play ~ or a puzzle table. You get the picture ~ just family having family time.

This Sunday please see the red poster on the wall where the Operation Christmas Child display has been, for you to signup for food that you plan on sharing with us at the dinner party and there will also be an entertainment signup. This is a two hour long planned party, so please keep your skits, songs, jokes, etc... to a short time so that others will have time to share as well.

With all of that said, let's get all excited with the snow falling and come Sunday ready to sign up for our holiday events. You'll not want to miss this celebration party with our church family!

Last call!

Please have all Operation Christmas Child boxes brought to the church on this Sunday, Nov 22. On the first collection day here in Juneau, the drop off center received 505 boxes. That is so awesome! We, along with many others will add to that number this weekend. Thank you so very much for brightening a child's life. That child will get to hear the wonderful story of our Savior's birth this Christmas because you gave to the Lord. The boxes will need to be transported from our church to the drop off center, Chapel By The Lake, by 3:30pm on this Sunday. I had intended to take care of this, but have a conflict in my schedule. Any volunteers? Let me know asap. God's blessings to you all!

Happy Thursday morning! Isn't this snow that God's poured down on us beautiful? Everything He gives & provides to us is beautiful! Here are our announcements:

• Tonite, 11/19, 6:30pm at the church - Prayer & Worship
• Tonite, 11/19. 7pm at Tim & Meghan's home -Adult Bible Study - Call 500-9731
• This Friday nite, 11/20 - Love INC Annual Fundraiser - 7pm at Centennial Hall. The church has purchased tickets and we have a reserved table. We would like to see all who want to go, to be able to go. If you have a heart to go, and do not have the full amount, please contact Sherry. God can work it out for you!
• Sunday mornings at Breakthrough Church: Praise & Worship Team Practice - 9am, coffee, donuts & fellowship - 9:45am, Pre-service Prayer - 10am, Sunday Morning Worship Service - 10:30pm
• Every Wednesday night - Youth Group meeting at the church at 6:30pm
• Next Thursday Nov 26 is Thanksgiving Day. Many will be gathering together with family & friends to enjoy a wonderful day of food, fun & fellowship. There are some among us who may not have family or friends in Juneau other than Breakthrough Church. Please look around and ask God to show you who you might be able to invite to your home on that day. And if you do not have some place to be on Thanksgiving, please let it be known, so that we can arrange a place for you to be. We want to be sure that everyone is taken care of on that day.
• Speaking of giving thanks, if you haven't had a chance to do so, check out Pastor Jason's newest project http://www.everydaytestimony.com/. You may even decide to post what you may be thankful for this Thanksgiving season!
• Thank you to all who signed up to minister to our children in either nursery or children's church for the month of December. May He touch you mightily as you seek Him in preparing to pour His life into His precious little ones.
• Please remember to pray for those of us who will be traveling during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Susan leaves tomorrow 11/20-11/27 and Sherry leaves next Tuesday 11/24-12/10.

Petition for Parental Notification of Abortion

Hello everybody,
I have a petition for those of you who would like to sign if they are in favor of parents being notified before their daughters can have an abortion. This is a small step but hopefully it will lead to future legislation that will reinstate parental consent prior to an abortion. As it is a person under 18 can’t even have a tooth pulled without parental consent. But an abortion…sure, no problem. You’ll have to excuse sarcasm. I can get pretty worked up over this subject. Good morning to all! Our God is an awesome and faithful Father and He absolutely loves us! He loves us enough to speak His truth and we are transformed as a result! Here are our updates for the weekend and beyond:

• Tonight - Friday, 11/13 at 7PM is the last session of ReCharge Worship Conference. If you have not had a chance to attend, tonight is your night! God has been speaking some awesome things. It's been absolutely life changing!
• Operation Christmas Child - Please bring your filled box on this Sunday, 11/15-Breakthrough's collection day. You may bring them tonight also if you want. The boxes will be prayed over and sent out to the main collection location for shipping in the next week. Thank you for blessing a child this Christmas!
• Love INC Fundraiser - Friday night, 11/20 at Centennial Hall - The tickets are $25.00 each, but if you want to go and you can't do the whole price, please let us know. The church is hoping to be able to buy a table in support of this wonderful ministry.

Worship Conference

Good morning! Today is Wednesday, November 11 - Happy Veteran' s Day to all!

Tonight begins ReCharge Worship Conference. The conference is scheduled for tonight, 11/11 - Friday night 11/13, each night at 7:00pm at Breakthrough Church. We anticipate a mighty move of God, please invite your friends and family!
Please make note of the following:

1. Praise Team meets at the church at 6:00pm each evening.
2. If you can be a greeter, please be there by 6:45pm.
3. We need volunteers to pickup, clean after each service, ensuring that we're ready for the next evening's service.
4. We need a volunteer to setup refreshment table on Friday night only for an after service time of fellowship. We'll probably have only cookies and hot drinks.
5. Childcare is provided for children 1 year - 5 years.
6. The Praise Team will be praying for the service around 6:45 each evening, you are very welcome to join us!

Please let Sherry know if you can help serve in any one of these areas just mentioned. See you tonight!

December Nursery & Children Church

Hello to you all and Happy Pre-Holiday and Christmas to you all.
Many are traveling in December. I am asking each of you to please sign up for the week you are available to do nursery or children's church for that month.
Please see the Christmas card posted in the nursery and PLEASE help us out by choosing one Sunday that you can minister in Nursery or Children's Church for the month of December.
Your help is always appreciated and needed. Not many are willing to give a Sunday service to minister to the ones Jesus Himself called unto Himself and said "for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
The Christmas card is posted on the nursery bulletin board ready for you to sign up for your Sunday(s) in which you are available. Thanks so very much!

Weekly reminders

Just a few quick reminders:

1. Tonight, 11/05 - Worship & Prayer - 6:30pm at the church
2. Tonight, 11/05 - Adult Bible Study at Tim & Meghan's home - 7pm - 500-9731
3. Every Sunday morning at 10am - pre-service prayer followed by morning worship service at 10:30am.
4. Andrew & Shelly are doing well. They will be returning to Juneau Sunday morning. We continue to speak God's healing & restorative power into their lives.
5. Remember to pray for Pastor Jason & Andrea over the next few days. He is in Oklahoma ministering at the conference and she is here with the children and a full time job.
6. Next week - Wednesday, 11/11 - Friday, 11/13 - 7pm each night - ReCharge Worship Conference at Breakthrough Church. Originally, the plan was a retreat out at Jubilee Cabin. Now we have planned only the evening services at the church. No day sessions. There is no fee to attend. Paul Hollifield of REI Ministries will be our guest speaker. Click here to learn more about Paul: www.reiministries.com . Paul was with us last year and is an anointed teacher and has awesome revelation on worship. Please make your plans now to be a part of what God will be doing in the meetings. We expect many guests from around our city. See Pastor Jason if you can help out with cleaning after each service, greeting, preparing snacks/coffee/tea table, etc.
7. Next Wednesday Nov 11 is Veterans Day - We thank God and honor the men & women who have served our country for many years and for those who are still serving. Thank you to every veteran and active duty personnel among us.
