Friday reminders

Today is Friday, Oct 30 - Fasting & Prayer Day at Breakthrough Church. Pastor Jason has asked us as a congregation to join him in this special time of prayer & fasting for our church. Please pray for guidance, direction and wisdom. We need a place of permanence to move further into this new season in which God has spoken. We want His heart and His heart alone. May He grace each one of us as we turn our faces & hearts towards heaven today.

Tonite, Ladies Night - 6:30pm at Sherry's home - we will continue in prayer for our church and then have a time for girl stuff! Call 790-9371 for directions.

Tomorrow, Saturday Oct 31 - Outreach Day at the Mall - We have made plans for an outreach event at the Mendenhall Mall from 3:00 - 6:00pm. The location the space between the library & tanning salon across from Cheap Chully's. We will be there at 1:30 to set-up and prepare give-a-way party bags and games. You can sign up to help by:

• Donating candy - we can pick up
• Help set-up room - 1:30pm
• Volunteering to work the booth (room) - We'd like to keep the volunteer time slots at 30 minutes to an hour each, starting at 3:00 til 6:00pm.
• Preparing party bags - 1:30pm
• Setting up games - 1:30pm
• Donating party bags - we can pick up from you
• Breaking down & cleaning up after event - around 5:30pm
• Praying for the event - If you cannot participate in any of the above, you can sign up to pray for His anointing, success & favor as we reach out to bless our community.

As you can see, we need LOTS of hands to get this accomplished. Please let us hear from you as soon as possible as to how you can help out. Thank you & God's blessings to you & yours!

Weekly Announcements

Good morning!

Our God is such a great & mighty God and faithful is He! Here are the updates for the weekend:

• Tonight, 10/29 - Prayer & Worship at the church - 6:30pm
• No Adult Bible Study tonight as Meghan is travelling for her job this week.
• Friday, 10/30 - Pastor Jason has called Breakthrough Church to a day of fasting and prayer. This time of fasting and prayer is specifically for wisdom and direction for our church. As you know, the lease is up on our current space in a couple months. We are praying for a place of permanence. God has spoken a new season and we want to be ready to move into where He is directing. We want to know know where to go and what He wants us to do. So, please prepare your hearts & minds ready for tomorrow's corporate holy day of fasting & prayer. You may fast in any way God leads, just fast & pray. There's power when the people of God join together in a time fasting & prayer. Watch Him move on our behalf!
• Also on Friday 10/30 - Ladies Night - 6:30pm at Sherry's home - Call 790-9371 for directions. We will continue in the time of prayer for our church, then some "girl" fellowship. Join us, we always have a blessed time together.
• Saturday, 10/31 - We will be doing an outreach event to our community at Mendenhall Mall from 3 -6pm. The location is next door to the tanning store and the library, across from Cheap Chully's. All of the mall merchants will be giving out candy that day, but we will be giving out small party bags with info about Breakthrough Church, including candy. We'll need volunteers to work the space - 30 minutes to 1 hour interval. We will also need lots of candy to help fill the bags. Also, the space will be open at 1:30pm to set up other activities and prepare the bags. So, we have lots to do before 3pm on Saturday, we need you. We'll send out another email later on today with more details. Meanwhile, pray that this effort would be blessed of the Lord and many lives would be touched.
• Andrew and Shelly are both out of the hospital and reported to be doing well. Andrew experienced some difficulties a few days ago, but all is well now. You may contact them directly at 907-957-1357 and 1356. They would love hearing from you. Be sure to check on Jesse and Kayleigh and the kids-789-1076.

Breakthrough updates

Good morning to you all. Here are our announcements for the weekend and beyond:

• By the time you read this, Shelly should be done with surgery and in recovery. Thank you for your prayers for Shelly and for Andrew as he prepares for surgery tomorrow morning 10/23 at 3:30am Alaska time.
• Tonight, 10/23 - Prayer & Worship at the church 6:30pm
• No other small groups scheduled for this week, but next Adult Bible Study is scheduled for next Thursday night 10/29 at 7:00pm and ladies meeting next Friday night 10/30 at 6:30pm.
• Outreach opportunity - Breakthrough Church will be setting up activities in the space between the tanning store & the library at the mall on Saturday, Oct 31. All mall merchants will be giving out candy that day and we thought it would be an awesome opportunity to do some outreach and be a blessing to our community. Details are still being worked out. Please be praying & thinking about how you can take part.
• Plan now to attend ReCharge Worship Retreat at Jubilee Cabin (Shrine of St Terese) Nov 11-13. You can get learn more by visiting www.spark2flame.com or talk with Pastor Jason.

Operation Christmas Child is launched. For your convenience, a display will be in place by next Sunday with all of the info needed to prepare your box(es) for a child this Christmas.

Thank you so much for the awesome kick-off of Pastor Appreciation Week. It was a fun, colorful, delicious breakfast and very anointed service. I know Pastor Jason & Andrea were, are and will continue to be blessed through this "Blessings" week. Breakthrough reminders

• Tonite, 10/08 - Prayer and Worship at the church - 6:30pm
• This Sunday, Oct 11 begins our Pastor Appreciation week of festivities beginning with breakfast at 9:30am at the church. Help is still needed to set-up and decorate. If you can help, please come around 8:45am that morning and see Carolyn. She'll put you to work! We are still in need to lights, streamers, balloons, flowers and anything else you can think of to kick up the decor. In case you have not had a chance to sign up for the meal, the breakfast sign up list will be forwarded to you soon to give you an idea of what you might want to contribute.
• The latest update for the "Seven Days of Blessings" was sent to you on yesterday. As you can see, there are still slots to be filled. It's not too late to add your name to this special time of blessings to our pastor and family in anyway you choose. Let me hear from you and we'll get you on. Also, if you choose to, you can bring cards, gifts, etc to church on Sunday for Pastor Jason , Andrea and the kids.
• Church, let's shower this family with blessings from on high. Let this be an awesome week of blessings upon blessings filled with encouragement, building up, appreciation, thanks and love from each one of our hearts straight to theirs.

Today is Tuesday, October 6 - Municipal Election Day in Juneau. Do your part, cast your ballot and vote!

Up for your consideration is mayor, assembly and school board seats and a couple propositions.

Polls open at 7:00am and close at 8:00pm. If you do not know where to vote, call the State of Alaska Polling Place Locator at 888-383-8683. The City Clerk can be reached at 586-5278.
