Supporting Pastor Jason

Good morning everyone!

Some may remember a few weeks ago when I told you in service that I feel like it's getting time to being in full-time ministry again. I believe this will be amazing for the church and what I know God has called us to do. For this reason, I've been trying to  take steps to do exactly this.

I don't usually talk about my blog here, but I do write short devotional articles and insights nearly every day. This is part of how I see an avenue of support developing and I would love for you to be a part of this. Here is Thursday's entry: Stories to Be Written where I talk about living the adventure of faith and some ways you can help me in these steps.

Thank you all for your love, prayer, and support. Many great things are happening and many challenges are also present, but Jesus has overcome it all. Thanks for you help and reading this short note. Please go check out the link above as well.

Pastor Jason

Prayer Requests

Hello everyone,

We have some ongoing things as well as some situations that were mentioned yesterday that need some prayer. Since we're a praying church who believes God is big enough to accomplish what He promises, we pray in faith!

  • Sean asked yesterday if we would pray for a woman named Rosie Sabo who is having surgery on February 10. We pray that God's presence and peace surrounds her and her family, that the doctors performing this surgery will have divine wisdom.  Let everything go smoothly and we release healing power now in Jesus' name.
  • Keep praying for Pastor Daymond and Jenny. His recovery from back surgery is going well, and he goes back tomorrow to see the VA doctor.  There have been some scary moments and hours, but we continue to believe God is imparting strength and showing off His victory through this whole situation and in their lives.
  • There is a woman that Andrew works with who is on a dangerous mission trip in Senegal right now involving schools.  Something happened right before she left and her funds to cover this were wiped out. Just so you know, we gave as a church yesterday to support this. Please pray for her protection and that everything God has for her to do in that nation in this trip will be accomplished and more. Blessings to her in Jesus' name!
Remember if you ever have any prayer requests at all that you want to share with the church, just let us know and we'll be happy to put it out for prayer. We stand for one another and embrace community!

Multiplied blessings,

Pastor Jason

An Immediate Prayer Request

I just received an email from Meghan that said Andrew Hohenthaner went to the ER this afternoon.  here's what she wrote,
Mom just called me and they are taking dad into the emergency room. I guess he aspirated something into his lungs and they need to run tests and see what is going on (he’s starting to run a fever). Mom is very worried! Please pray for him... he could use all the support he can get.
Thank you all for your prayers and we'll do our best to keep you updated on what's happening.

Blessings,

Jason

Prayer for Sherry

You may have heard already but I wanted to pass this along to as many as possible so we can stand with our sister, declaring God's faithfulness and best. Below is a copy of the email Jenny sent out this morning.

Good morning,

Sherry drove herself to ER around 5:00AM this morning having back pain, chest pain. Her ER doctor, Nathan Peimann, said her enzymes are borderline, meaning she may or may not have had a heart attack. They have admitted her in the hospital for monitoring and also to take more blood tests later to follow up on her enzyme levels. Please keep her in your prayers. This is scary for anyone and she needs us - her family and friends. Her birthday is Friday and this is not the prelude she wanted.

Please pass this prayer request on to all who will pray.

Living in the Promises,

Jenny Geary

Urgent Prayer Request

This message came in from Shelly this morning. Please read this, pray, and let them know if you have any information,

Let us know if you see Jacob anywhere around town.

Last night at 11 pm Jacob ran away. We called the police, spent the night patroling the streets and have not been able to find him. One concern is that he is on some pretty heavy duty medications and without him he may become violent and unpredicatble.

Our family is in turmoil right now and scared sick for his safety. We could use alot of prayer right now not just for us but for Jacob who is not in his right mind. But we also need to have people if they see him to contact us immediately it is imperative that we find him as soon as possible before he gets very sick.

Thank you,

Andrew and Shelly
Thank you for praying- we'll include updates as soon as we can.

Two quick prayer needs

This message came from Jenny Geary-

  • Clif Conrad is going to have to drink some liquid and have X rays taken. He has had nothing by mouth since he had surgery last Monday - a week ago. The doctor thinks he has a blockage in his small intestine and hopes the liquid will open it - otherwise he is headed to surgery AGAIN! Thank you for praying and if you can visit them, they would greatly appreciate it.
  • Jayme Geary has been not feeling well for some time - Dr. Neyhart sent her to the hospital for blood work and an ultra sound - they are there now.

Thank you for praying for these critical needs right now.

Prayer for Daymond -11/13/08

Some may have received an email last night as Jenny fired a very quick one to whoever she could get in the "to" line, but Daymond was taken to the ER yesterday as they were concerned about his heart. They gave him a prescription for what they saw, but today he is heading back because of some chest pains.
  • Please pray for divine healing in Daymond's body and strength for his heart
  • Pray for wisdom for the doctors seeing him
  • Also pray for great peace and strength for Jenny
Thank you all for your faith and standing--Blessings to you. I will keep you updated here with anything I find out.

Update: Daymond is going home and his heart is pumping at 65% which is a vast improvement from his ER visit from a while ago. There is no congestive heart failure. Doctors don't know why everything looks so good, but God is great! Thank you for praying!
